Job Summary
Oversees the daily operations, programs and staff at Trinity Center, while creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for youth. This includes the development, implementation and management of programming for youth 5 – 15 years of age in the After School Program, Summer Recreation Program, and other events hosted at the Trinity Center.
Essential Functions
- Develop, implement and maintain consistent programming for youth at Trinity Center, ensuring integrity on a daily basis.
- Coordinate daily Trinity Center youth transportation ensuring the safety of youth on a daily basis.
- Plan and facilitate monthly Family Night events for youth and their families.
- Supervise and assign duties to Activity Aides.
- Ensure collaboration with the Nutrition Group so that all snacks and meals provided to youth are nutritious, well‑balanced, and prepared in compliance with Pennsylvania and federal child nutrition regulations.
- Collaborate with the D & A Prevention Coordinator to plan and execute an evidence-based prevention-based curriculum.
- Complete and submit all programmatic data to contractors consistently and in a timely fashion.
- Complete billing & all necessary paperwork in a timely basis and as directed.
- Responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and condition of the Trinity Center’s interior, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and accurate inventory management in all areas.
- Market all Trinity Center programs to the immediate community by attending community events and other outreach activities.
- Recruit youth into the program through community and schools contacts.
- Assist the Director as a liaison at local meetings and committees including Erie Together, Neighborhood Watch, and other various organizations.
- Coordinate and implement yearly Holiday Dinner, Vendor Fair and Summer Recreation Program Family Waldameer Trip.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive demeanor during periods of increased demands on time and attention from multiple sources.
- Possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written. This includes the ability to converse with children and families of various socioeconomic backgrounds in a professional manner.
- Ability to supervise staff promoting an environment of teamwork that results in the effective execution of valuable services.
- Ability to plan, organize and lead individual and group activities
Required Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree preferred. Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in the human services field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Experience working with children and families required.
- Supervisory experience required.
- FBI, Child Abuse History, PA State Police, and Driver Clearances. Other clearances may be required dependent on residency status.
Pay:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience
