Job Summary:

Maintain the third shift operations, administrative functions, and overall supervision of all Residential and Group Home Specialized Settings. This position will seek to ensure trauma-informed care and the creation and maintenance of a trauma-informed environment in the Specialized Setting.


Essential Functions of the Position:

1.   Provide all aspects of supervision of third shift staff including hiring, training, one-on-one supervision with staff biweekly,                 evaluations and performance management.

2.   Oversee all third shift documentation to assure accuracy.

3.   Develop and oversee staff work schedule.

4.   Communicate missing documentation needs for medical records to unit supervisors and therapists.

5.   Assist with coverage as needed to ensure ratios are met.

6.   Participate in on-call schedule as assigned.

7.   Enforce Bethesda Lutheran Services policies and procedures that pertain to overall unit management.

8.   Communicate with outside agencies, families, and other professionals on a regular basis.

9.   Ensure youth needs are met.

10.  Be available on an on-call basis for emergency consultation, crisis intervention, & behavior management backup.

11.  Make decisions regarding consequences/behavior management of residents.

12.  Responsible for the counting, ordering, and dispensing of medications.

13.  Responsible for accuracy of client charts & retrieving missing client documentation on all residential units/group homes.


Required Education, Experience, and Clearances:

1.   Bachelor’s Degree in human services field preferred with one year of experience   working directly with children; or an                    Associate Degree or 60 college credits and  three years of experience working directly with children.

2.   Two years of experience as a Childcare Counselor with one year of supervisory  experience preferred.

3.   Must be at least 21 years old.

4.   Must possess a valid driver’s license.

5.   FBI, Child Abuse History, PA State Police, and Driver Clearances. Other  clearances may be required dependent on residency status.

Salary: $43,680-$47,840 per year
