Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) are for children and youth who need individual therapeutic assistance. This new program replaced Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS).

A skilled staff person works with the children or youth and their families for a specified number of hours per week in his/her home, school, and/or community. Behavioral Consultants (BC), Mobile Therapists (MT), and Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) work together to provide individualized treatment interventions and strategies.

Services no longer require a psychological evaluation to begin services, though a written order is required. You may obtain a written order by your child’s pediatrician, outpatient counselor, or other licensed mental health provider. If you do not have a provider that is able to complete a written order, please contact our agency directly and we can assist.

These services are provided in Erie and Crawford County.
