PRTF Assistant Supervisor| Up to $2000 Hiring Incentive
Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) Assistant Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and completing the day-to-day responsibilities of routines and youth care, while assisting the PRTF Supervisor in the management of the unit to include assisting with the coordination of referrals and admissions. This position will seek to maintain trauma-informed care and ensure a trauma-informed environment on the unit.
Essential Functions of the Position:
1. Provide daily coverage of the unit and coordinate daily routines.
2. Work a minimum of three (3) direct-care shifts each week that may occur in the evenings and/or weekends.
3. Participate in assigned biweekly on-call schedule that provides 24 hour/day, 7 days per week on-call for supervision and programmatic oversight.
4. Perform supervisory responsibilities when the PRTF Supervisor is absent.
5. Enforce Bethesda Lutheran Services policies and procedures that pertain to overall unit management.
6. Support the Mental Health Professional (MHP) in implementing their clinical guidance for assigned youth to include prevention and safety plan procedures along with behavioral management.
7. Coordinate home visits including setting up guidelines and transportation arrangements.
8. Facilitate referrals and intake procedures as directed by immediate Supervisor.
9. Be available on an on-call basis for emergency consultation, crisis intervention, behavior management backup, and shift coverage to maintain safety of the youth and staff.
10. Ensure all needs of youth are met in the capacity assigned by immediate Supervisor.
11. Oversee the tracking and counting of youths’ medications including medication variance forms.
12. Balance and maintain records, receipts, and requests of unit monies and youth allowances.
13. Participate in ISP and 30-Day Meetings in the absence of the PRTF Supervisor.
14. Fulfill Mental Health Worker role as needed.
Required Education, Experience, and Clearances:
1. Bachelor’s degree in social service related field preferred with one-year experience working directly with children; or an Associate Degree or 60 college credits and three years of experience working directly with children.
2. Experience working in the mental health field is required, particularly understanding what a treatment plan is and the function of this plan.
3. Supervisory experience is preferred in the social service field.
4. Must be at least 21 years old.
5. A valid driver’s license is preferred.
6. FBI, Child Abuse History, PA State Police, and Driver Clearances. Other clearances may be required dependent on residency status.
Salary - $43,680-$45,760 per year + Benefits
